I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
